When I Lost You - New Single from Henrik Bank

HAVE YOU EVER HAD YOUR HEART BROKEN?

On November 8, 2024, Henrik Bank’s new single “When I Lost You” will be released, a deeply moving radio ballad that explores the crushing feeling of losing a loved one and, at the same time, losing oneself.

The track is a duet with former Grand Prix participant and current “Neighbours & Friends” member Anne-Marie Hassing, recorded in collaboration with the experienced pianist Søren Skov (known from Dodo, Ivan Pedersen, and Ester Brohus).”When I Lost You” captures the pain and confusion of losing a partner and the dreams you built together.

As Henrik expresses in the song: “I lost my mind when I lost you.” The song describes the grief and longing that arise when your whole world suddenly changes, and the plans and love dreams you once had go up in flames. Henrik explains: “For me, the song is not just about missing my ex-girlfriend, but also missing the happier, more confident version of myself.”

Recorded in Nashville the song was co-written by Henrik, Anne-Marie Hassing, and Søren Skov. Henrik took Anne-Marie’s vocals to Nashville, where the song was recorded with a rhythm section that has previously worked with stars like Blake Shelton, Shawn Mendes, Luke Bryan, and Faith Hill.

The result is a ballad that combines the authentic Nashville sound with Henrik’s unique Scandinavian touch.

Henrik Bank is known for his ability to create music that touches the hearts of listeners. His previous single, “A Good Thing Going On,” achieved A-rotation on DR P4, and “When I Lost You” similarly aims to reach Danish radio stations and beyond to a broader audience.
