Marc Miner – Secret Session, Vol. 1: at The Creek

After his 2 country rock albums, some duets with local country greats and numerous European awards, country singer songwriter Marc Miner is back with an extraordinarily different sound. The new 6 track EP, “Secret Session Vol 1 : At The Creek” is reduced to the essentials. An acoustic guitar, a voice, here and there handclaps or a kazoo, recorded in a secret location in Vienna, Austria, near a forest glade on a quiet riverbank. More information at Hemifran.

Tip Jar – Road Of No Return

“We are Tip Jar, and we write and perform melodic songs on the hippie side of country, spiced with some pop, folkrock and jazz influences. The band is an international collective of musical friends around Bart de Win and Arianne Knegt, ranging from americana heroes as their Texan friends Walt Wilkins and Bill Small, to the Dutch snare magicians Harry Hendriks and Joost van Es.”. Slowman – The Invisible Son

This album is about the joy of making noise and the power an electric guitar can give you. The album is sort of split into 2 halves, the 1st 5 songs are about frustration, complicated relations, and heartbreaking breakups. The following songs discuss hope, freedom, pleasure, community, and loss. The joy of making music and playing together stands out on this 6th Slowman album. More information at Hemifran.
