Finally the danish artist Rikke Moelgaard has released her first soloalbum…
“One Side Of Me” is the debut album from the talented singer. Rikke Moelgaard has been backing many artists up over the years, done sessions works at many albums, touring with Stig Rossen and much more. Earlier she were signed to a big label but it only ended up with a release of a single and was never followed up by an album. It seems like the music style for her wasn´t right at that time.
Finally in 2005 she teamed up with Soren Reiff Jr. They have been doing many concerts together and decided to work on a soloalbum with a mix of own material, some cover song and have other songwriters to contribute to the album. The result is the “One Side Of Me” album with songs in the smooth popstyle but with many influences from the west coast music. At the album you can hear great covers of “Georgy Porgy”, “Let´s Stay Together”, “Hello” and among the new material Michael Ruff has written the song “Testimony”.
I took a while before Rikke Moelgaard finally were ready with her debut album, but the result is brilliant, so sometimes it is good to wait.
