Blaze from Allience…..
In 1985 Alliance released the album Blaze featuring some great Los Angeles sessionmusicians. Al McKay that earlier worked with EWF, Emotions, Carl Anderson, Finis Henderson, Temptations and others produced the album. “Blaze” were recorded in Los Angeles and a great lineup of studiomusicians was brought in to the recording session.
The group members were Ian Flexman on vocals, Jesper Kjoller (Take Five) on bass, Per Kamp (Robben Ford, Joe Pass etc.) on guitars & Peter Michael Jensen (Take Five) on keyboards. At the livestage the group added Al McKay, Ralph Johnson, Larry Dunn & Andrew Woolfolk wellknown for their work with Earth Wind & Fire.
“Blaze” is an amazing album in the funk pop style, but you can hear the inspiration from the west coast music added by the great guest musicians such as: Michael Landau, Gerald Albright etc.
