Words from Tom Hansen:

From my latest CD “Inspirations”, I would like to mention the singer Robbie Wyckoff who has choir for Celine Dion, Diana Ross, Natalie Cole & Barbra Streisand. Robbie sings the song “Just like Graydon”. Jay Graydon received a Grammy in 1980 for “Song of the Year” – “After the love has gone” with Earth Wind & Fire – together with David Foster & Bill Champlin.

We got nice message from Graydon in Los Angeles: “Great writing, great playing, great singer & great mixing – you can be proud!

Swiss Urs Wiesendanger both sings and has arranged “Cabrillo cruising”. Thierry Condor and Sabina Stokes join in and sing.

Tollak Ollestad is also involved. He has sung and played harmonica for Al Jarreau, Earth Wind & Fire, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Gino Vannelli and Andrea Bocelli. Per Hillestad (formerly Lava) and Hans Mathisen are on this recording. Kenneth Eriksen has arranged the songs of Robbie, Tollak and Terri Green.

We also made the birthday song “Quincy” for Quincy Jones, who just turned 90. Here Eline Smith Rydningen and sister Heidi Smith-Solevåg sing and with Elizabeth Mukendi on rap. Live Foyn Friis is also on this CD, and she and I made it “Remembering” together.

I’ve always been a fan of the Bee Gees and after hearing Chris Lund on the Voice, we made “Wanna feel the heat again” to. It became a duet where he sings with Hilde Hogsnes.

Dhenibe from Switzerland has recorded a new version of “Savor this” courtesy of Niro Music, and super saxophonist WaKaNa from Japan features on Mezzoforte-inspired “Going west”

Otherwise, the local heroes are with Nils Mathisen, Dag Einar Eilertsen, Helga Hægeland, Hans Christian Nystad, Line Knudsen, Rose Baptiste and Liv Neslowe.

As a bonus track on the record, I made a new song together with the soul singer Terri Green from USA and who lives in Hamburg. She has previously topped the soul charts in England and the USA. Promoter Steve Ripley has done a brilliant job in England, and we entered in 1st place on Solar Radio’s soul list.

Otherwise, I have local heroes like: Super musician Kenneth Eriksen, who lives on Nøtterøy, has arranged these the songs together with guest arrangers Urs Wiesendanger and Maurizio Metalli.
